NEVERISE SET TO SERVE UP SECOND CROWDFUNDED SINGLE
Derbyshire five-piece release brand-new track 'No Identity' on 14 March
Neverise are staring down the barrels of a busy looking 2016, beginning with the release of their second single, 'No Identity'. The release follows in the footsteps of ‘Everything You’ve Done’, their debut outing last February, and was funded in double-quick time by a successful crowdfunder.
Like their debut single, which hit its target on IndieGoGo in under two weeks, last autumn's ‘No Identity’ campaign raised the necessary without breaking sweat, enabling the band to not only record and distribute the single, but shoot a video for it too.
That busy looking 2016 we were talking about kicks off with the new single and sees Neverise lining up a handful of live dates to support the release in March.
25th - Birmingham, O2 Academy 3
26th - Manchester, Zoo
27th - Derby, Victoria Inn
Following the single release and live dates, the band will be heading straight back into the studio in May to begin work a new EP and they're also lining up an extensive UK tour in June and July.
"Other than that," says the band's bassist Richard Davis, "we've been pretty boring!"
Boring is the very last thing this lot are. Hold onto your hats in 2016, the Neverise whirlwind is on its way.
Neverrise have tasted success in a previous life as Follow You Home. When singer Kayley Busby announced she was leaving the band, the remaining members saw an opportunity to regroup, rethink and move their sound in a new direction. By chance they discovered their long-time friend, Jessica Matthews, already carving her own niche as a solo artist, had always had a hankering to be in a band.
Neverise released their debut single ‘Everything You’ve Done’ on 23 February 2015 following a successful Indiegogo campaign that funded a video shoot to support the release. The crowdfunder hit its £1,500 target in under two weeks. Explaining the thinking behind getting fans involved from day one, the band said: “We see our fans as part of the band. Why do we need middle men to enable us to get music to you? We can get releases out much quicker by crowd funding directly with the people that make it all possible.”
Neverise are Jessica Matthews (vocals), Richard Davis (vocals/bass), Nick Ayre (vocals/guitar), Mikey Davis (guitar) and Ted Claxton (drums).
