The hotly-tipped IKLLYA have announced a brace of dates in New York over the coming months, including a sought-after support slot with Brooklyn metal legends, Biohazard.
The fast rising street metal trio will play two hometown shows, their own event at The Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, on 30 December, and opening for Biohazard at the launch party for their new album at The Grammercy Theatre on 17 January 2012.
The aptly named Knitting Factory night, entitled The End Of World, is a total treat for anyone who likes it hard, loud and live, as it serves up a raft of the finest street metal outfits the city can muster. Ably assisting IKILLYA at the show are the unmissable violin metal specialists Resolution 15 as well as Hung, Pyrrhon, Family and Ever Forthright.
Tickets are a mere $10 and are available online from http://bk.knittingfactory.com/event/70345/
IKILLYA have already been on the receiving end of much glowing press with Kerrang! calling their debut album, ‘Recon’, “a hugely visceral gut-punching assault… a highly compelling mix of hulking muscle and fiercely intelligent ire”, while And Metal Hammer neatly sum up their sound, with the delicious “as startling and destructive as a beer bottle to the back of the skull”.
But don’t take our word for it. If you’re in NYC over the New Year get yourself to the upcoming live shows and see for yourself.
